Who processes your data
Translog SAS, registered office in Rennes, France, is the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us at contact@translog.eu or on +33 (0)2 99 00 00 00.
What we collect
When you contact us
The name, company, email address and message you send through the contact form, or by email or telephone. Nothing more is required to answer you.
When we move your freight
Collection and delivery addresses, contact details of the people handling the goods at each end, and the signature or name recorded at the point of handover. Vehicle telemetry — position, speed, temperature — is attached to the movement rather than to any individual.
When you apply for a job
The CV and covering information you send us, plus licence and qualification details where the role requires them.
When you visit this site
Nothing, unless audience measurement is enabled — see Cookies and measurement below.
Why we process it
- To answer enquiries and produce quotes — on the basis of steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To perform the transport contract — collection, delivery, proof of delivery, invoicing and claims handling.
- To meet legal obligations — transport documentation, customs declarations, accounting retention and driving-time records.
- To keep the fleet safe and serviceable — telemetry used for condition-based maintenance and incident investigation, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating safely.
- To recruit — on the basis of steps taken at your request before entering an employment contract.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become contracts: three years from the last contact.
- Transport records and delivery documents: the statutory retention period applicable to transport documentation.
- Accounting records: ten years, as required by French law.
- Telemetry: the length of the contract, then aggregated into non-identifying operational statistics.
- Applications for roles we do not fill: two years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@translog.eu and we will answer within one month.
If you consider that we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority.
